Now Hiring: Office & Sales Assistant – Remote/Military Spouse & Veteran Friendly

The Small Business Marketing Studio is hiring for a part-time Office & Sales Assistant position.

We are a growing marketing agency that specializes in connecting military spouse, first responder spouse, and veteran professionals with small businesses in need of marketing services.

This role is 100% remote-friendly, and perfect for a military spouse, first responder spouse, or veteran who wants to break into the marketing industry, but lacks the education or experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will support the offices of the SBMS president and operations manager with the following tasks:

  • General office support/clerical tasks
  • Light bookkeeping & invoicing
  • Sales & marketing activities
  • Customer service
  • New client onboarding support
  • New team member onboarding support
  • Scheduling meetings and events
  • Records management & tracking
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years in a customer service role
  • Strong interpersonal skills – written, phone, and face-to-face communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines
  • Ability to successfully multitask
  • Expert handling of Microsoft Office Suite in a Mac environment
  • Self-starter
  • Eager to learn, and comfortable with taking on tasks outside of their “job description” with proper training
  • Ability to support office hours in MST and EST. We have two operational centers, one in Idaho and one in Maryland
  • High School Diploma required

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a marketing agency environment
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Experience with digital marketing, traditional marketing, and/or public relations
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Experience with graphic design
  • College level coursework in the field of marketing, business, or communications a plus
